Decrease bounce rates -Apture, hover.in or HeadUp
With Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites “Sharing” is new trend of this century. Everyone wants to share excellent information available on world wide web. There are many articles published everyday sharing great tutorials and contents on Internet (like 5 great tutorials/ tools…) and most often they are not from your domain. So, if visitors are interested in those, they simply move to that tutorial and which results in increasing bounce rate!
But, some interesting tools or plug-ins can help to reduce these bounces and make visitors loyal to site.
The first name comes to my mind when I think about linking something with my articles. Apture enables you to embed/link almost everything on web. If user clicks on apturized link, a pop up will appear instead of opening that link, consisting of summary of linked page which is very useful in scenarios where you want to explain some tricky information. Apart from linking and embedding apture lets users to search anything on the page with a simple formula “Select and Search”
For demo, Tutkiun! Itself is a good example.
Indian start-up, still in beta phase is alternative to Apture. A similar concept of pop ups (they call it as hoverlet) but with slight twist. Instead of clicking on links, the hoverlets will appear if you hover that link for some time which displays more information about linked word and are fully customizable. The advantage here is you can integrate existing ad network and hoverlets will help you to make some bucks!
You might be familiar with those in-text advertisements which automatically place advertisements based on keywords match. Similarly, HeadUp will add useful information automatically by analyzing contents in your articles. Also, articles from achieves will be linked if relevant keywords appear in contents which will help you to increase inbound links and reduce bounce rates.
