GMAIL USERS: You’re invited to join the conversation on Tutkiun’s Google buzz account.
Managing friends and social networks isn’t exactly convenient these days because there are so many online services and communities to help you stay in touch with and keep track of what others do — Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Orkut, gtalk…and new addition to this list is Google’s brand new Buzz. One thing you can do to make it all a little easier is to track everything by syncing updates from social networks with each other. There are many tutorials available on web to sync Twitter and Facebook or any other established network. But, how to sync buzz updates with Facebook or vice versa? Here’s how to do it:
Update from Google Buzz to Facebook:
Well, Google or Facebook does not provide any tool to do this. But, at Tutkiun! We have done that. This is not actually a tool but trick.
1. First step is about getting public feed link for Google Buzz posts. The simplest way to achieve this goal is replace {user.name} from link below with your username of Buzz account.
2. Login to Facebook account and go to notes. Don’t know how? That’s why we are here. Just copy paste below link to your address bar and that’s it!
3. At right hand side you will see note settings. Select import a blog from there.
4. Now, Enter a Buzz feed URL from step 1 to Web URL text box. Then Start importing.
5. Next window will be the preview of imported feeds. Now click on Confirm Import.
That’s it! Really is it?? Half is done but, what about importing Facebook status into Buzz?
Update from Facebook to Google Buzz:
1. You will need a Facebook profile id for this to work. You may refer to
eHow tutorial for finding profile ID.
Replace ******* below with your Facebook profile ID.
2. Login to Google account and go to ‘edit profile’ page of your account.
3. Under links section add Facebook feed link with proper name. Make sure that you have checked ‘This is profile page about me’ checkbox below Link Name. This will force Google crawler to crawl your feed.
Now, Facebook option will start appearing on connected sites at Buzz page. Google may take some time to crawl that feed.
