Want to increase your number of followers by following people to whom you know on Facebook?? This tutorial will enable you import contacts from Facebook account to twitter account. This is slightly complicated as twitter supports importing contacts from limited number of mail providers.

Follow the steps given below to import your contacts to twitter.

Export your Facebook contacts into .CSV format by referring to this post.
Import .CSV file into anyone of mail account (Gmail, Yahoo mail or AOL address book).
Log into Twitter.
Go to find people on right menu. Select Find on other network.

Select your mail provider from options there.
Enter a valid username and password. This will import your entire address book into twitter.

Now, you can follow people who are already on Twitter and can invite those who are not using twitter.

the problem is that your using the older version of twitter to instruct us … new version of twitter doesn't have the same applicable info that you have posted … do you think you could update this info with new twitter – that would be awesome!
