Export Facebook contacts to mail account

There are lots of applications in market who claim that they can effectively export your Facebook contacts to your mail account or in .CSV format. But, I doubt if any of them offers valid results. Facebook provides very efficient security mechanisms in order to protect privacy of its users. The contacts are displayed on profile are in image format so, any WebCrawler cannot easily download contacts of your friends.

                Here I will explain you a simple step by step guide to export contacts from your Facebook account into your mail account so that you can effectively manage your address book at one place. The tutorial uses your Facebook account and windows live account.

• First of all, sign in to your windows live/ hotmail account. If you don’t have one please create it here.

• After Log in, go to profile tab.

• Click on Add people.

• Select Facebook. A new window will open for authentication. Enter a valid Facebook account information. And grant the permission to access your Facebook account from windows live.

• Complete the given three steps
• Add people who are already using windows live
• Add people who are not using windows live.
• Send invites.

• After completion of sending invites log out of your live account and again log in. Go to mail - > contact list. All contacts from Facebook account are added into your live account.

• Now for exporting these contacts goto manage -> export. Your contacts will be exported to .CSV file which you can save to desktop or use it for merging these contacts with another email account.
